Sorry if this is a stupid question.

We will be going to AKL Kidani next September. We have booked our flights, and the only thing left to get is our park tickets. We will be getting the 14 day ultimate pass.

Can this be put on our AKL key? If not I assume we can still do EMH and show our AKL key when we go into the parks on EMH days?

Hello fellow UK DVC member :goodvibes

You will not be able to put your 14 day pass on to your room key. If you buy the 14 day pass from Disney you take your email receipt and show it to the ticketing centres outside each park. We picked ours up outside MK. They will give you a card pass for each member of your group. It isn;t as convienent as having it on one card but for some reason it can not be put on your room key :confused3

As for EMH we never did this but I am sure that you will have no problems - have a great trip, AKL is our home resort too and it is wonderful :thumbsup2

You will still be able to do EMH by showing your resort ID. There are lots of people who can't (AP holders) or don't have their admission on their room keys.

Thank you both for taking the time to answer my question.

Cannot wait for next September!!!:rotfl::cool1:

Now for one more question....Why not buy the AP for your trip? You will certainly be there long enough to take advantage of it, and the cost is likely to be less than the 14 day pass.

I don't think the cost of the UK 14-day ticket is less than an AP, even a DVC AP. Just going by the UT site and based on today's exchange rate, the UK 14-day is 363 USD (222.88 GBP) versus $414 for the DVC AP. Not a huge savings, but I'd look carefully at whether or not the additional dining discounts or ability to purchase TIW would be worth the extra ~$50 for the AP.

Ok since it came up. If you are staying on disney property and use a AP you can still access EMH? It is only if you use a AP and are not staying on property you cannot access EMH? New DVC member looking into A.P.'s for the future, just checking my options.

I would like to know this too.
Also, is it correct, if I purchase my tickets from UT and staying onsite, I produce my room key? What do I show at the turnstiles to show I am staying on site? Is it my room key or is it my DVC card? New to all this. Thanks.:goodvibes

EMH is available to all WDW resort hotel guests with valid park admission. Offsite guests are not eligible, no matter what admission media they hold.

Your room key is what you'll need to show.
