The best-kept secret is to go to Epcot on Halloween! None of the F&W seminars we went to reached capacity, there were fast passes available for Soarin' until at least 7pm, we had our pick of restaurants, we got a prime spot by Mexico for Illuminations...AND...we could see the Hallowishes fireworks sitting on a bench in the Africa area. (Don't tell anyone...let's keep it a DVC secret....).

I'm sure that posting this here on the DIS no one will ever find out.:rotfl:

I was wondering what replaced DVC as the best-kept secret (since DVC is plastered all over billboards, bus banners, etc. Not much of a secret). Thanks for the information and hope to use it soon.

Oh, I can see it now-next year when I go, the seminars will all be packed with crazed Disney fans (me included!) sporting LGMHs and wearing Crocs. At least I'll be among friends.

Shhhh! Now you went and done it. :thumbsup2 It's been that way ever since we can remember during the week. When Halloween falls on the weekend it is still pretty busy with the locals. No lines at any of the food stands in the morning or afternoon. Which seminars did you do? Probably saw you in line. Hope you enjoyed your trip. pirate:

OT Laurabearz love your sig pic. If you are ever visiting town while the Orlando Home show is going on at the Convention Center, they are usually there for a meet and greet. You can meet him and the "girl" in plaid. Get an Autographed pic and a I love Appliances T-Shirt. They are a riot.

Totally agree - we didn't stay for IllumiNations, though. Went to the Boardwalk and watched all of the princesses, pirates, princesses, Peter Pans, princesses, Buzz Lightyears, princesses and Power Rangers that were trick or treating. Oh, did I mention all the princesses that were out and about? :teeth:

All the little ones were so cute, but I'm still glad ours is grown and on her own, LOL.

I thought from the title that this thread was going to be about DVC - I couldn't believe all the DVC kiosks and ads - they were literally everywhere! DVC can't possibly be a secret anymore, IMHO!

Wish I had known this sooner. We chose to visit Epcot on the saturday before halloween. (DS's birthday) It was so crowded we could barely move. Don't know what I was thinking going to Epcot during F&W on a saturday. Yikes! As for Halloween we went to the DTD Marketplace. Very nice but again, extremely crowded.

This afternoon Epcot was the most jammed that I have seen it during this year's F&W We went in and walked around the lake and left. Tried standing in non moving lines a few times and had red wine(luckily on a black shirt) spilled on me at a bottleneck around Morroco. Just plain gave up. It just wasn't fun. Weekday mornings/afternoons spoil you. The weather was beautiful. Not a cloud in the sky and cool. Lots of other people were still having fun.:)

madcoco~

First we rode Soarin' (board said a 20 minute wait, but we walked on and our section of the ride was only 1/2 full), then did both Michel Nischan seminars, then rode Soarin' and Test Track with FPs (since the FPs were only 1 hour out, we were able to get multiples) somewhere in there we did the O'Hana Bread Pudding demo (yum!) and then did the Villa Maria Estate and Ehlers Estate wine tastings. Maybe we chatted with you in line for one of the seminars, although we weren't in line more than 10-15 minutes for any seminar.

Carol~

I had to mention DVC in the title to make sure this didn't get moved to the theme park board....I don't want to share with that many people!
