I have 3 trips booked already and an AP to cover those 3 trips plus 1 more that I'll be able to book soon.

So I have 4 trips with the room paid for and the passes taken care of already. Just have to pay for the meals!

(Course I am fooling myself, I am making payments to DVC but at least it is factored into our budget each month and no big bill coming for each of those trips! Makes it seem a little less painful.)

This is cool sometimes, isn't it?

Shan,

Four trips, huh? Your like me & mom, we have 3 trips planned. 2 for this year, see countdowns & 1 for 2005 (9 days, I think!) It's great!

I absolutely agree with lenshanem. I think my trips are "free" too except for meals. I don't even count that monthly payment to DVC.

leanne2255--do you fly or drive? I see flying adding to the expense of each trip for those of us that are farther away than a day's drive.

Because of what I do, there are plenty of frequent flyer miles to cover the airfare. It certainly helps with the costs.

Although I don't consider DVC free, I do consider it a tremendous value.

The first trip is aleays a killer when you purchase the AP's, but the next one or two (or three in your case) are really nice. Like ours in November. First time we got 3 trips on our AP, but only two this time.:( Also, we drive so air fare is not a problem. Are drive takes awhile from Michigan, but we drive straight through so we don't even have Hotel cost on the way down.

I have always thought that not having to come up with the big "chunk of change" for the room for each trip was one of the biggest of the DVC benefits.

DH is an airline employee so airfare is a non-issue with us.

Yes, the prepaid aspect of DVC is just terrific! We went in January for 5 nights with our Florida Resident's pass, we're back in May for 5 nights, then back in December for 3 nights.

Want to squeeze in as many trips as possible while DS, 2, is still free!

We just have our maintenance fees, and well, that little add-on at BCV. (Before that though, we'd been paid off for a few years!)
