We are thinking of booking a non stop flight on alligiant air for our Oct trip. We always drive but w/gas prices & construction on I75 we THINK it might be worth trying to fly (2 hr trip v. 10 hr. trip). Can get $466 for all 4 of us to Sanford & would have to rent car (?).

Question is about insurance...does the insurance they send w/your room confirmation cover air fare if there is an emergency? ALready threw mine away &, we usually don't bother w/it. Is it worth the insurance thru the airline?

Again, don't usually bother BUT thinking we might need to BOOK before the RAISE the airline prices.

THANKS

Airline insurance.

Personally I don't buy it since in most cases the airfare is not material...

That said if you buy it via the airline ASK questions. For example, the insurance Skybus sold did NOT cover the one issue that most people had... Skybus going bankruptl

For my trips I do insure I go to www.insuremytrip.com and put my details in for quotes. Plus you can read the terms/conditions and make sure it covers what you need it to.

Now I have NO inside info, but I would make sure that insurance on Allegiant covers bankrutpcy or ceasing to fly commercial flights!
