DVC in September? What is going on?!

Was able to piece together a split stay in Sept renting points. New to waitlists and trying to get an extra night 9/22 at the end of our trip (MNSSHP night). Any way to tell which waitlists are the shortest or most likely to turn over? Called DVC services and they didn’t provide much info regarding length of waitlists. Just mentioned some of the less popular rooms.

Was hoping to either get something on the monorail loop (1BR preferably) or RIV 1BR preferred as that’s where we currently end our split stay. We’d prefer a 1 BR which I imagine would be easier than a studio.

Currently on the RIV 1BR preferred and VGF 1 BR lake view lists. We start stay at BLT so was hoping to get VGF for the end of it.

Since you are on rented points, you can’t stalk the website, but shorter waitlists have a better chance than longer ones because all nights have to be available to fill…and then don’t hold them for you if only some come in.

So, if you have three nights waitlisted, and two open, they check against it and bypass you since it isn’t an exact match…if there is no one with just one or both those nights on a waitlist, the rooms go back for other booking…which is why many of us stalk.

I just got one night at BLT 2 bedroom for my first night in September by stalking. We had all four nights at RIV and would only change first night if it was BLT or VGF…

I think what you have are the best for possibilities given the resorts.

Thanks for the info. We actually own some points and have enough leftover from our earlier trip to book one night so do have more flexibility here. Hopefully just going for 1 night will help us, but sounds like I need to keep stalking anyway
