We are thinking about this trip. Anyone been there this time of year. I can't find much infor on this DVC resort and would like to take the family for a week the end of March.

I have been there late March. It can be WONDERFUL or it can be MISERABLE. HHI is pretty far north so weather is iffy. Generally it's nice, but occassionally it's COLD!

The other thing is the ocean will be very cool to cold.

Now, if you want do do other things I am sure there is lots to do (shopping, dining out, things DVC organizes, etc)

My Spring Break (I teach) is usually the third week of March each year. I went one time to HH, and it never got above 50 degrees the entire week and it RAINED the entire week as well. As much as I would like those cheap points for HH (cheap in March, as opposed to summer), I have never returned. Now some people have had great luck with the weather, but that particular year, I couldn't go anywhere without raincoat and umbrella. It's just the luck of the draw, I guess.

That's been our experience also-weather is very variable-sometimes nice, sometimes miserable in March.

We were at HH last spring break which was in the end of March. The first part of the week was cold, wearing jeans and jackets. The last few days were warm and went to pools.

HH really looks nice..DH and DS are golf lovers and we would love to go there one day...

One problem though..We are not from the "car travelers"...We truly don't like taking very long car vacations..Long being anything more than 5 hrs..With that being said, did you fly from NJ?

Yrs ago, Continental used to fly regular jets into Savannah.Would drve from Savannah to HH..Now I think only ContinentalExpress goes to HH, 57 seaters or less...I won't fly smaller planes unfortunately.

Do you know any larger airlines that fly from Newark or Laguardia? HH really looks like somewhere where we would enjoy!

Thanks so much!!!!!!!!!!!!:goodvibes :goodvibes :goodvibes

We drove to HH last year. It took 12 hours. I could not find flights or trains that would work for us. Good luck on finding a flight, if you do please let me know. We really enjoyed HH last year and we don't play golf but enjoyed the relaxing atmosphere. We did nature walks, rode bikes, and went to pools.

Well, we didn't want to make the trip all the way to Vero Beach... so we are going to try HHI. just checked reservations and all the stdios and 1 bdrm are already taken. Evidently somebody like the weather that time of year??

We have become so enamored with HHI. We have been there the end of March as well as a summer trip this year. When given the choice, our kids wanted to go to HHI over WDW in mid-March of next year...we reminded them that the weather can be cool, etc., but there are so many other things they enjoy doing, they didn't care! My DD (17) was just saying the other night that she will enjoy family movie nights & also wants to look into wet suits for the ocean! (Of course, this is also the girl that wants to do that polar bear thing in the winter:scared1: )

Also, by that time, whether it is 50 or 70 degrees, it will still feel better than Ohio!
