DVC Hilton Head Activities & Availability HELP!

Hi All! I have a couple questions.

1. We just submitted a DVC contract for SSR and waiting for the ROFR. If all goes well I guess we will be ready to go in a month or two. Do you think we will have a chance of getting accommodations at HH this July or August???

2. What are some of the activities you enjoyed at HH?

3. We have our own kayaks. Will we be able to Kayak on our own? Are there Crocs is the water? Where do we Kayak? Is it safe there???

I would think it would be difficult to secure something on that short notice in HHI for July or August. One can dream though.

Best part of HHI is doing nothing, but relaxing.

Someone said recently on another thread that, except for a random night here and there, HH was booked solid for the summer. It never hurts to call, though - and by all means get on a waitlist. And I would ask them to waitlist you day by day - it was much easier for us to ultimately get what we wanted for our recent last-minute Spring Break trip because we weren't just hoping someone would cancel a full week, but were able to pick up a day here and a day there, and then MS was able to link all those reservations together so we didnt have to move.

I'm pretty sure you will be able to kayak on your own. You might want to call the resort ahead of time, just to be sure. There are no crocs around the resort, as Broad Creek is salt water and leads directly to the ocean. There has been an occasional shark siting from the resort, though!
