DVC help please!

we were gifted a 2 bdrm villa through a friend of my BIL. This week my SIL and I set up her MDE account and got linked to each other. when she linked the resort confirmation number it was listed as the DVC owner and for a party of 2, not our last name or party of 8. How long does it take Disney to update the reservation to us? Also, I will be the one doing most of our bookings for ADRs and FPP. Will I be able to see the room reservation on MDE if it is booked under my SIL account? And one last question, once room is listed under our name can I book DME or does the owner need to do that? TIA

The friend needs to change the reservation to the correct names and they need to book DME for all guests.

The friend said she submitted an updated guest list to MS. Is This something that takes a bit to get updated or should she try to call?

If she emailed it can take a few days and with the holidays I'd even allow a couple of extra days for them to get to it. A phone call will have it done faster. If there's no rush I'd just let the email stand and check it periodically.

Normally 2-3 days but with the holidays, I'd add a day or 2 minimum. And that assumes the owner did it in a way Member Services will respond such as email off the member website. If they did it by phone it should be up within a day or less.
