DVC guide rumor - Jan 1 FP may be back!

It has to be coming soon right?

I get that they didn't need it/couldn't handle it when they first opened back up but by now it seems they should have it figured out.

It seems like at this point having FP would really help with dispersing crowds.

I highly doubt it due to distancing issues. Remember that for many rides ~75% of its capacity is dedicated to FastPass. That means if they brought FP back the standby waits would increase exponentially and those lines are already backing out of the attractions and around the corner with 6 feet between parties at this point.

I wonder if they'll combine FPs with the dining plan in the future.

Most of the ride lines have been reconfigured to include the FP line in many instances to help with distancing. I don't think FPs will be back until distancing requirements are gone.

Surely they can find a way to make FPs work better than distanced lines that snake out into the park.

If they don't come up with something they will be limiting themselves how much capacity they can handle..

I hope not, the dining plan doesnt work for the way we eat.

I agree with this, at some point it will just be lines everywhere all the way to the park entrance lol

Charge for fastpass... if true Bye Bye Disney, I will sell all my points and end our 42 year relationship with Disney The final straw!!!
I understand this point of view - I mean enough is enough right? But the crowds are so stupid now, especially after the fireworks in MK. Those crowds are absolutely unsafe. I would love to be able to pay to ride 6 rides a day. Disney has always charged premiums to make it easier to go to the park (for example, staying at the Poly or GF or Contemporary). I am not criticizing folks who are fed up but I'm fed up with the crowds and waiting in line. If it takes an extra $50/person/day to remove 4 hours/person of waiting (this is all hypothetical) I'd do it.
