DVC Grand Gathering

What benefit do you get by registering your group as a "DVC Grand Gathering"? We're in the process of doing this (they ask for a lot of information including name and address for each guest) and I'm curious what we gain?

I know one gain is the ability to book a grand gathering experience - we're hoping to do the IllumiNations dinner/dessert gathering. Just curious if we'll get any other perks from this?

We're celebrating four separate July birthdays when we take our group of 9 down in July of this year (including one 60th BDay).

The only thing that I can tell is it gets you access to the 4 or 5 GG events. Outside of that nothing.

We have done this and aside from the special events they will attempt to put rooms close together. This will not happen by chance. we have had great results using grand gatherings for this purpose alone. joan

There is some advantage when using them to make your dining reservations...I have had butter luck getting reservations for a larger group through them, than using the regular dining number. And, as stated they will try and place your rooms closer together. I can't say anything negative, we are going another GG this December.
