Can you make your reservations for any tee time after 10:00 am and then change to a DVC rate when you arrive at the course by buying the membership at that time? Thanks for any help.

When my DH makes reservations he doesn't even mention the DVC or AP discount. Just makes the reservations and then figures out later which discount works best.

If you are buying the DVC golf card, I do think you have to purchase it first before you pay for your round. If you pay first, they can't discount after the fact or at least that is what someone posted.

Hope this helps a little but consider it a bump until an actual golfer comes along.

When I made ressies for DH to golf, I told them he was using the discount, then when he got to the course, he bought the card there.

What I am concerned about is that as a resort guest I can make a tee time up to 90 days in advance, but with the DVC membership you are only allowed to make a tee time 14 days in advance at this time of year. Any advice or experiences with that issue?

I'm interested in knowing what these golf discounts are. My brother and his family may be joining me on a DVC trip and they are big on golf. What kind of greens fees should they expect? Any limits on time for teeing off?

As a long time DVC golf card holder, my observations: 1) if you book online you have to declare if you are a resort guest or DVC member and the computer logs and notes this on the ressie. At check-in they know how you booked and may insist on the booking price. 2) If you call and make ressies, they also note if you are DVC or resort guest and note this. Checking in at the Pro shop could be a little embarrising if you expect one price and they insist on another. ( DVC price vs Resort price differ, not to mention booking restrictions). I would not take a chance and try to play both sides of the table. JMHO - FYI

Dell, what if you are a resort guest and a DVC member?

Our trip this month we stayed at the GF/Polynesian but I thought my husband could still purchase a new DVC golf card if he wanted to do so.

And if you are staying at a DVC resort at WDW, aren't you still a resort guest?

Although he was making reservations day of, I didn't hear any conversation about DVC when he made them by phone.

Doctor P, when are you planning on going? Dell will know better than I but most of the time my husband has not had difficulty booking tee times close to our trip or even last minute.

Thanks for the info. I am taking my parents for one night in mid-March to play golf at Disney (they live an hour north of Tampa in the winter).

If you plan to purchase the DVC annual golf membership when you arive for your tee time, you can tell them that when booking your tee time, and you will pay the membership rate for that tee time after you pay your membership fees.

Also, does anyone know if the free club rental and free shoe rental is available this year? I haven't heard anything yet.

Yep, that is what member services told us. Wdwgolf confirmed it as did the folks at Bonnet Creek when my guys played last week.

Doctor P, I think you will be playing during one of the busiest times for golf but I still don't think you will have trouble booking during the DVC time frame. Although we don't have much experience with DVC golf perks, my guys have been playing golf there for years. Many years we were there the last week of March and they were always able to get a tee time with a little flexibility.

Hopefully Dell will be back with his DVC experiences.
