We are going to be playing golf during our upcoming trip and will be joining the DVC golf membership but I have a couple of concerns.

1. I read that they will store your clubs and transfer them for you, my question is is this a reliable service? Has anyone used this service that could possibly recomend it?

2. I also understand that we get free transportation to and from each course, how does this work? is by cab or bus? and how long should we allow to get to each course from Saratoga springs.

Your help will be much appreciated

My husband has this...and wouldn't go to WDW without it.

He loves it. They clean your clubs and will store them, but he likes taking them back to the hotel. Treats them like his 1st born... Loves the price during certain times of the year to play on Pro courses like the Magnolia and the Palms. Once got a $35 dollar rate?! Something like that...and invited a friend to play another time, and he got the rate too.

He has used the service to and from BCV, BWV & WL many times. Once he had to call to remind them to pick him up from Osprey Ridge though. It's a taxi that gets sent out. He usually tips them $5-$10 bucks. Yes, it's complimentary. We go so often to WDW, that the golf perk is well worth it for us. We also have an Annual Pass so, he uses that discount too for something concerning golf.

I used to have to call and make him the golf ressies just to keep him happy at WDW for so long. Now, he does it himself. Takes my son with him 13 to play early, and is happy as a clam for the rest of the day/night. :cloud9:

Oh!! It's like a regular cab service, so you need to give them time to pick you up at the SSR. I just asked my DH what he would do if he were playing at the Palm/Magnolia & staying at the SSR. He said that he would arrange the cab the night before with Disney Golf (he usually schedules all pick-ups at the time that he books his tee-times), and schedule pick up for latest 1hr before tee time, that way he would arrive at the Palm/Magnolia at latest 30 minutes before tee time to set up etc.... Osprey Ridge, Eagle Pines is closer to SSR but would still book 1hr pick-up.

We have also used this. It worked great 2 years ago with taking 4 friends, making 6 total. We purchased 2 golf passes. You can use one for yourself and 3 others. We went in early December and green fees were $50, I think. My DH has very expensive clubs and was a little hesitant but now is a true believer. They were always ready and in top condition. The clubs were transferred and cleaned every day. We played 4 of the courses.

We had a mini-van rental so I can't speak to transportation.

Hi.
I'm not a golfer, but some of my guests would rather hit the links than hit the parks. Does the DVC member have to accompany his/her guests or can they recieve these golfing benefits on their own using their "member" rooom key for identification?

We've used this on three seperate trips and have always found the service excellent. They even take you to your car if its raining.

DVC members don't get any discount for green fees unless you have a Golf Membership. The DVC member with the Golf Membership does have to be playing to have his guests get the discount.

I have been using this service for quite a few years, and have had plenty of good experiences. Only once did I have to request a taxi a second time. It was at the end of the day at LBV. This was also during the time they were creating the DI.

Normally, I have had to wait more than 15 mins on either side of my round of golf. I have even used it to meet up with a family members at other hotels than the one at which we are staying.

I have never had a problem getting my clubs to the course in time for the next day's round.
