DVC Gold Pass

I was looking at prices for the gold pass just now and down at the bottom of the page it says "promotional ticket must be purchased by March 31, 2016". Is it not a regular 365 day pass good for one year from first use (with blackouts, of course)? I'm confused by all of the wording on that page now. I'm not going to use until September and was hoping it would last 365 days from then. Also didn't want to buy it until late summer but this leads me to believe I have to purchase by end of March.
