DVC Gold Annual Pass

Could someone please clarify whether there is (or not) blackout dates during the Christmas season for the DVC AP. My DH and I want to purchase the AP for a 4-day March trip, a 4-day July trip, and a 3-day trip next Dec. 26, 27, and 28 trip. We always try to get three trips out of our APs, but on one site I recently saw a note about blackout dates! We haven't purchased an AP for a few years, so there may be some changes we aren't aware of. Thanks!

Never mind!! I found the answer. But now I have another question ..... If I buy the Platinum AP before Jan. 3, 2017, but I don't activate it until our March trip, is it still good for the 13-month special? It's not 14 months from when you actually purchase it, is it? Rather 13 months from activation, right?

It is 13 months from activation not from purchase. So whatever date you activate it in March 2017 - your AP will expire that date in April 2018. We bought AP certificates a few weeks ago when we were in WDW. We plan to activate ours on our next trip in March 2017 too.

I know and have a note to myself that we have 18 months to activate. Do you or anyone else know where this is written? Someone was asking me. I don't remember. I went searching and don't see it on the DVC Website. Thank you.
