DVC - Free Parking?

Does anyone know if you get free parking at the theme parks by showing your DVC card. We will have 2 days off-site over a weekend this summer and I wondered about this. We also have AAA, but I think that only gets you preferred parking areas. Is this correct?

I thought you had to be a DVC member staying at a DVC resort to get free parking. I could be wrong tho.

Everyone gets free parking if your are staying at any WDW resort. DVC membership does not entitle you to free parking. If you have an AP, you get free parking. AAA prefered parking is for people that made arrangement through AAA for their travel plans.

I guess I must have gotten lucky when I was there in March. I went for a conference and was staying off-site. I showed my DVC card at the gate and was let in. I then showed my AAA card and was allowed in the AAA preferred parking area. My husband tried using his card at one of the park entrances, however, he had to pay parking. That was why I was curious if there was a correct answer.

There is one thing everyone who goes to WDW for a long time begins to understand that is the help knows very little about anything. The turnover down there is great and the pay low. Like I said before the DVC card does not get you free parking unless you are staying on property. It could be that AAA parking is open to all AAA members after you pay to get into where you park?
