I just booked two trips for both Food & Wine events. In California, we are staying at Paradise Pier, as the GCV are not ready yet, so no kitchen. We will be doing the complimentary events, as most of the good stuff is either sold out, or too expensive during the dates we are there. Guy Fieri is $185.00 per person!
As such we'll be doing the various Celebrate venues. Carribean, Canada, New Zealand, France etc. We'll get good wines to take back to the room. There are Kitchen Conversion seminars, and Beer and Spirits Seminars.
In Florida we have a 1 bedroom at OKW, and plan to attend the seminars there, and then recreate the food in our DVC kitchen.
Next year the GCV will be open, and we plan to book a 2 bedroom so "foodie friends" can stay with us and geek out on food, and wine.
