dvc expiration dates?

we're pondering between an SSR contract through disney and a resale ... now i know SSR is a 50 year contract ... but is that 50 years from when i buy it or a determined date? (like 50 years from when it opened)

not crazy about SSR itself ... but the selling point is that its 12 years longer ... dont know if that would make or break the sale

what about resale expirations? is it 45 years from when the buyer bought it or .... ?

i thought i "read" that all dvc contracts from "sold out" resorts ended on the same date ... but that doesnt seem right

anybody have an answer?

SSR ownership ends in 2054
OKW,BWV,VWL,BCV,Vero and HH end in 2042.

And all the contracts end on the dates Dan posted.

Doesn't matter when you buy or who you buy from.

At the end date, all ownership interests revert to Disney.

In reality, no owners at SSR will have a full 50 years (and only a few OKW owners will have gotten a full 50 years).

The contracts all expire on January 31, 2054 at SSR and on January 31, 2042 for the other DVC resorts - regardless when you purchased your contract.

Then under NO circumstances should you buy there. When compared to owning your favorite resort, the term of the contract is of much less importance.
