During my trip in March,2005, my sister-in-law and friend will be joining us at BWV. Can she call Member Services to make dinner reservations if I give her our reservation number? If so, do I need to call MS ahead of time to register her? She will want to start planning this soon. Thanks .

I always put all of our guests' names on the reservation so they can check in on their own.

As for dining - I always use 407-WDW-DINE. She can call that and give the name of the resort where you're staying.

It is my understanding that MS only deals with members so why don't the two of you do it at some point when you are together? Like on a Thursday evening when they are open until 7:00 P.M. That way you can call and give them your member number and other info and hand the phone to your sister to make the PS. Having her call with just the reservation number won't be enough.

No need to go through MS for PS. Just call WDW-Dine. In fact, they have much longer hours than MS and are even open on weekends. The toll free numbers to WDW-Dine are listed on the DIS:

http://www.wdwinfo.com/wdwinfo/dining.htm

Just scroll down to the section on Priority Seating.

Best wishes -

P.S. You don't have to tell Dining where you are staying unless you want to - Just say off site or haven't decided for sure yet. Many people make PS before their lodging arrangements are set. It doesn't matter - they'll make your PS no matter where you plan to stay.

Add her to the reservation and she can call MS for PS. This is a toll free call and usually much quicker than the WDW DINE number. The exception would be for hard to get options like Cinderella's since WDW DINE opens at 7 am and MS at 9.

If you are making reservations for "dinner packages" that requires you to give a credit card # (for example, Fantasmic Dinner Package, Candelight Procession, Hoop-de-do), you must use WDW-DINE. MS does not handle these types of reservations.

They have for some and not for others. MS has definitely made reservations in the past that required a CC confirmation.
