Pacsafe makes a lot of products that feature locking mechanisms and slash proof straps. I got DH a laptop bag with a combination lock and locking strap before we went to Europe a couple of years ago. We locked everything up in that bad boy!!

we've been using a kyss bag for years for cruise excursions

Have never felt the need to drag it along to WDW for pool usage but we do repurpose a small aquapac bag (to hold our key to kingdom, few $s, etc.) we typically use when snorkeling

I didn't mean "chain" I was going to lock the zipper and wrap the tote/bag straps around the leg, just so you can't "run off" with it.

The pictures on the KYSS bag have something akin to a bike lock wrapped around a deck chair. I can't see Disney going for that if it happens too much - especially if it appears its being used to hold chairs for the day.

Dry Pak makes great water proof products if you need to have certain stuff with you at all times. I am diabetic & certain stuff I have to carry with me at all times. Can purchase on Amazon.

If you are a guest at the BCV, everyone in your party will need their KTTW at Stormalong Bay. You won't be able to get by with only one.

can I fit a 12 pack of beer in a kyss bag, I could lock the beer to a chair while in the pool.

Based upon using the large bag, i can't imagine how you could attach it to more than two chairs (max)...regardless, just because one is sitting on top of a chair doesn't mean it can't be removed from the seat and placed on the ground or suspended between the two chairs if it's unoccupied for any length of time...just as other absentee chair hog's personal items should be when seating is at a premium imo.

They are pricey but we found one on Ebay for $70.

Our plan is to use it at places like Typhoon Lagoon and just not even get a locker. Our intent wouldn't be to snag a spot rudely all day but our plan is to secure it to a less than desirable (if there is such a thing) chair near the wave pool first thing in the morning so we can run over to Summit Plummet and a few others slides around that area and come back to get our stuff a couple hours later.

Anyone know if Disney would have a problem with this?

All very good points. For some reason I can't live without my iPhone. I use it as my main camera which is one reason I don't leave it behind.

I was thinking about locking my bag and then tying it around the chair. I figure if it isn't a 1-2 second crime they will think twice.

Just be sure you are at your chair at least every 30 minutes, because that is how often they go around and remove "saved" loungers at Aulani.

See now I would have a problem with that if for example I ran back up to the villa to make a quick lunch and then plan to return to my sun spot but my "quick" lunch takes 45 minutes. Or what if I decided to go spend an hour in the lagoon floating on a raft. I would certainly expect my belongings (books, magazines, sunscreens etc.) to still be right where I left them. I wouldn't want to pick up all of my stuff and remove it just because I decide I want to experience another part of the pool / beach area for a little while with the intent of returning to my chair. This isn't really an instance of "saving" but rather just doing something else for a short time.

My experience at BCV and BWV is that the CM take avery long time to remove items. IMHO a chair that only has a resort pool towel on it with no activity for over a half hour or 45 minuites is not being used and CM should remove the towel and make the chair available.

Leaving to get a quick lunch is one thing . Putting items on chairs at 9 or 10 and returning from a aprk at 2 is not right and rude.

Leaving for a 2 hour sitdown meal is also not the right thing to do.

I think 2 hours is the routinely accepted limit at resorts across the western hemisphere.
