We are taking our third cruise in May but first as DVC members. Are there any discounts to take advantage of onboard? Maybe discounts at the spa or any other perks for members? TIA

The discounts are similar to the Disney Visa. 10% off a $50 purchase in the shops, 10% off non-discounted photo packages, for the spa--20% off massage/facials while in a port.

Make sure you have your DVC member card with you for any discounts!

There are some freebies for DVC members--there is a DVC Members celebration either on boarding day or the first full day with raffles, free champagne/mimosas/non-alcoholic sparkling cider/bottled water. You can also go to the DVC desk on board and get various freebies throughout the cruise. You should get a DVC member magnet on your door, and a phone call around 1-2 weeks before the cruise about when the DVC member celebration will take place.

Here are some of the freebies we got on our 1 week Disney Wonder Alaskan cruise in August 2016:

Do we have to note it somewhere in the reservation that we're DVC members?

They usually know ahead of time. But just to be safe, you can check in with the DVC person at the port, they have a checklist of all members. I think we were missing our DVC door magnet so we got one from the desk during the cruise.

Just got the call today for our cruise that departs Sunday, sooo excited!

Does anyone know whether post-4/4/16 resale members are eligible for these goodies??

On our February cruise all they gave out were the hats and the door magnet.
