For our December trip we are bringing my mother in law and my brother in law. If we buy the DVC/AP discounted party tickets for us, can we buy 2 additional tickets for them? Will they ask for our AP or member card at the gate? Also, the baby is going to be 2. Will she be free? Thanks!

I've purchased additional tickets in the past for those traveling with us and yes the 2 yr old will be free.

Oh that's great..thanks! Do I call MS for them? Will they take two credit cards or do I have to put all the tickets on my card?

I've always ordered ours on-line following the link for the discounted APs from the DVC Member website and then changing to the special event tickets. I guess you could do two separate orders using different credit cards.

I've typically paid for the extras tickets and then my family members reimbursed me.

This is what it says on the DVC discounted ticket store sight...

**Proof of Disney Vacation Club Membership and valid photo ID for all adults in same household required.

Has that ever been an issue? :confused3 I'd hate for my mother in law not to be admitted because she doesn't have a member card.

I believe that applies to the APs as they do check ID for those.

The event tickets have been mailed to us and no one has checked ID when they used them.

It's against Disney's ticketing policy for CMs to mail out AP & DVC Discounted Special Event Tickets.

We have never had them mailed to us. With AP they will mail a voucher which you have to exchange for the Annual Pass.

For event tickets such as MVMCP you get a confirmation number. Then when you get to Disney World, you give them your confirmation number and show your Member ID and driver's license and pick up the tickets.

True, we just purchased our mvmcp tickets and were told to pick them up at will call ( would not mail them to us)

You can buy up to 6 tickets with the DVC discount. The AP discount is the same price, you can buy up to 4 tickets.

The DVC member has to pick up the tickets and only he/she has to show the blue membership ID and photo ID. May also have to show the credit card with which they were purchased. Can't remember.

So in total there are 7 of us plus the baby. Would you suggest I buy 6 of them as a DVC member and my husband buy 1 as an AP holder? That way we get all 7 at the discounted rate at the will call window?

When we went 2 years ago, my parents bought the tickets as they had APs. I know they bought 8 tickets (maybe because they both had APs?), and they were mailed to us. I only remember the mailing part clearly because I kept checking a thousand times before we left that I had them in my bag...... :)

I'm going to need 11 tickets this time round. Can DH and I each buy 6, or is it 6 per membership?

bump....

Still wondering what's the best way for us to buy the party tickets. Should we buy 6 under my name as a DVC member and 1 under my husband's name as an AP holder if it's true we can only get up to 6 as dvc? His mom would like to pay for one...is ok to use her credit card or must he use his credit card?
