DVC Discount?

I forget...I know we get 20% off merchandise but do we also get the discount on food items at the DVC gift shops (frozen pizza, bag of chips)?

If it's in a gift shop, yes, you get the discount off food as well. Since we're always buying our groceries at the resort gift shop, the discount has come off those as well--including milk. If you're buying your food at a quick service restaurant at the resort, you don't get the discount.

We didn't get any discount on our food purchase (from the cooler) at BC Marketplace. I asked about a DVC discount and was told no.

At Grand Floridian, the discount of 20% applies to everything in the gift shop, including food and the $100 of Mickey Ice Cream Bars that we ate (for only $80)

I received the discount on food purchased at The Screen Door. Sadly not on wine though.

We've also received the discount at the Screen Door (BWV). Didn't buy any alcohol there, but not surprised it doesn't apply to that, LOL. Usually, the CM asked if we were members, which was nice because my DH never remembers to ask for the discount even though I make him carry his card while we're there!

That's a new special for the summer that was just announced a few days ago. It's valid from Jun 1-Aug 31st.

I’ve always got a discount at Screen Door. As recently as April.

We always get 20% on food at the gift shops only if you have the blue DVC card. I did ask last year at the Poly if there were any exclusions and it was liquor as other have mentioned and all the stuff in the medicine section like Tylenol, Band aids etc. Other than that we have used it at the POLY, SSR, AKL and CR never been told no but the member has to pay and show photo ID.
