Is it possible for me to purchase a discount water park ticket for a travel companion (who is not a member, but is traveling and staying with us)? Or must the user of the ticket be a DVC member?

Thanks!

the member perks section shows $45 for a 1 day water park ticket. Details just say to purchase you will need to show a valid DVC member card and corresponding ID either at the hotel concierge or the water park itself. I just want to make sure I can hand it off to our friend for use before we travel.

We did that for my nephews and niece but it was several years ago - prior to MDE.

I haven't bought water park tickets but I have bought discounted MNSSHP and Disney after hours tickets. In both cases they were able to be purchased for the whole travel party (up to a certain number). The MNSSHP tickets were mailed to me and active immediately (used them to schedule FP) but the Disney after hours tickets had to be picked up in person at a ticket window. I was asked to show ID and member card but then was given active plastic Tickets that could have been used by anyone. I assume the water parks would also issue plastic tickets that anyone could use to enter.

Yes you can! Can't buy ticket in advance. You have to buy it the day of at the park.

Awesome Thank you!!!!

Although are you aware that adding the "Plus" option to a park hopper ticket is only $15? If your guest already has a hopper that will be the best price for the water parks unless they purchased prior to the recent increase so that they'd only get credit for the pre Feb 11th ticket value.
