DVC discount on DCL?

This may seem like a silly question, but we are DVC members (home resort VGC). We are going to WDW this summer and using most of our DVC points for that stay; however we want to do a 3 or 4 night DCL cruise to the bahamas as well.

The question is, as DVC members, do we get a discount on the price of the Disney cruise if we don't use points for it?

No you do not. In order to book through Member Services, you must book the first adult on DVC points at a minimum. The cash prices will be somewhere in the middle of the price range usually.

You can continue to book DCL cruises, of course, through travel agents or DCL itself on cash and take advantage of any special offers. That will be your best cash pricing.

Thanks! We will most likely book on RCL instead of DCL due to the price difference, but this is good to know about having to book at least one adult via member services for future reference!
