DVC discount for $$ room at HH

Does DVC offer the same discount for cash at HHI that it does at other resorts? I'm thinking of a weekend in October, but Sat night points are three times the nightly points I used in May: 84 for a 2BR!! Isn't that ludicrous?

The points ARE high on weekends. They have to be, otherwise it would be nearly impossible to book a weekend night because people would be constantly going to HH for a long weekend. (I would definitely be one of them!!!)

There will probably be a DVC discount for a cash room available, but be prepared, the cash rates at that time of year can be pretty steep too. I would recommend booking the cash rate through DVC, but keep your eyes open for other possible discounts that may appear, like Disney VISA.

We paid cash for our Saturday night for next month. With the 25% off, it was $313.00 for a 2 bedroom. What is funny about getting the 25% off is that we booked at the 11 month window and they still gave us the discount.

We also received the member discount on a cash night for a 2 BR in August. Did the same thing last year.

We also have a DVC discount at HH for a Sat night in July- it was reserved at 11 months and the discount was available already.

The member discount is available when DVC already knows or can predict from past experience that a room will not be needed for a point reservation. In the case of HH, especially Saturday nights withi the high point cost, there is often cash availability even over the summer. There will be minimal, if any, availability for weeknights over the summer though.
