DVC Discount for Child AP Price?

Just getting ready to purchase AP's for the upcoming trip and I'm noticing the price for a child is the same as the adult price.

Is this something new?

It started about a year ago with the 2012 price change. All AP's, not just DVC.

This went into effect for all levels of AP effective with the June 2012 price changes. The only difference between the adult and child AP is that the child AP does not require a finger scan while the adult does.
