DVC Discount - AKL

I'm a new member and can't seem to find the info on this.

Do DVC members get a discount on a cash reservation on Disney Hotels -

If we do get a discount do we book through CRO or MS?

Any ideas on what % the discount would be?


We had to reschedule our trip and were not able to get all nights at a DVC resort so we are staying 3 nights at VWL (and waitlisting 4 more) and we went ahead and made cash reservations at AKL to cover the other days just in case waitlist doesn't come through.

DVC member discounts on rooms are only at the DVC resorts (25%). AP or Code rates through CRO can sometimes be better.

There are no discounts at non-DVC resorts. MS can only reserve cash reservations at DVC resorts and not all dates will have the DVC discount available.

Non-DVC cash reservations need to be booked thru CRO or WDTC.

But if you have an annual passport, you can get discounts at AKL which are available thru July 3. I think they are $201 per night for a savannah view, and about $150 or so for the other view. You would have to call CRO to ask about the exact rates. There are also special rates on the other resorts, but I don't remember what they are, except for All Stars, which was $59, I believe. You can also find out by checking the resorts board, which recently had a thread on that subject. You don't need an annual to check on the rates, but you will have to buy one before you check in to get the room for that price.
