DVC Direct Price Increase Coming February 2026

https://www.dvcresalemarket.com/blog/dvc-resale-average-sales-prices-for-september-2019/

It's interesting. You'd almost expect there to be some increase in resale pricing over time, but looking at the above, hard to see any resort where that has happened. If anything, steady or decreasing over time.

On the $500 fee, also interesting - ROFR and contract transfer times have gotten better so much in the past few months. If DVC keeps that up, I almost feel like this $500 fee makes resale more attractive, particularly if there are points upfront you can use (as opposed to a stripped contract). Really going to be interesting to see what affect, if any, this fee has over time.

Glad you enjoyed CCV! You're making me more excited for my stay 1/31-2/7. Since you're not going for RIV, it probably makes sense to wait for LSL unless Poly has some sort of big sale (which I think is unlikely). In the meantime, if you need some more SAP, hard to go wrong with some cheap SSR points.
It was a great stay for us, I can't think of a single issue we had which is rare 🤣 There was construction but we weren't put in those rooms thankfully! I would request to be away from that!

We just watched them plant a bunch of new flowers for your stay! The shortbread maple pecan cookie is def a thing there! YUM!! Im assuming they only have it for the holidays. We loved the boat ride, I think it may be my new favorite mode of transportation! The one bedrooms have the jacuzzi tubs that are self cleaning which is great. Dare I say I was even questioning my blt purchase at one point!!! But now that im at my home resort, I would be happy with either i realize and you cant collect them all (although im sure some people here can) 🤣🤣

This is probably why I love split stays !

I agree! Many people on the board have advised me to wait to see what LSL is like and I agree! Although it will be hard!

I have one contract on the dec uy and my wife got december approved off from work next year again. So if we go in Dec again next year thats only 180 points to work with, its simply just not enough for my one bedroom dream lol. Yes all other points will be used before then 🤣

And then there's the hope that lsl will be on sale by end of next year and i cam buy it and book a welcome home stay somewhere hard to get for christmas and sail off into the sunset, but then id be breaking my own advice of stay before you buy i give to everyone 🤣🤣🤯🤯
180 must be sorta close to a 1BR. You could always rent a 1BR and rent out your 180 or bank them :)

So if I decide to wait for LSL i might not get a dec uy? Because I do NOT need another uy, no sir lol!
Not that you won't get a December UY, you may not get any points in the current UY depending on when the resort opens. For example, when Riviera went on sale all UYs except February got 2019 points. The resort did not exist until it went on sale in March 2019 so February 2019 was excluded.

So youre thinking pit sooner would be better it seems 🤔🤔🤔 I do know we already love the resort after all
Not that PVB sooner is better. Just make sure you truly want LSL before giving up one or two UYs of PVB IT when the price will inevitably go up.

Just noting for you that there is a current CCV sale where 150 points are about the same price as 150 Poly points. Just in case you want to think about it.

If not, waiting for LSL vs. Poly probably makes sense. Personally, I've convinced myself (although I may well be wrong) that LSL is going to be pretty easy to book at the 7-month mark unless you're a resort studio sort of person. I think the resort will be massive, and 7-month availability is going to be somewhat similar to RIV - 1 BRs and dedicated 2 BRs will probably be easy to get. And, the cabins will probably be so many points that they are also easy to get at the 7-month mark.

By the time LSL opens, we might also have a bit more clarity on how difficult 1 BRs at PIT are going to be to book at the 7-month mark. I think availability has been very skewed by all the existing PVB points able to book into PIT. And, of course, we'll have to see where the dues for LSL comes in.
Not making the decision easier, but CCV also has two more years on the deed :rotfl:

I heard about the ccv sale, but haven't had time to look into it yet, does it end when the current incentive ends?

They're probably trying to grab all us Christmas people that went and fell in love lol that resort truly shines during Xmas time.

This is what I really want to know too how hard is it going to be to book PIT? Because if its going to be damn near impossible like it is now then I have my answer 😆

Yes, ends 2/9/2026 (although my guide was quick to note it could be pulled before then - I don't think it will be, it isn't that good of a sale IMO).

On 150 points, CCV and PVB are about the same. But beyond that, PVB incentives are better because the CCV incentives don't increase after 150 points.

But how will I know this if I cant stay there yet 😭😭😭

PIT seems pretty tough right now, except for theme park views.

And the nice thing about both CCV and PVB is that you can use your existing resale points there, @Girlstar30. To the extent you are primarily looking to get your blue card benefits, I think that gives them a big advantage over waiting for LSL.
I didnt even think of this but that is something to consider, considering I want one bedrooms

I also can't imagine LSL has a friendlier points chart or better transportation options compared to CCV.

That's the gamble. You could also dislike it like your Riviera stay 🤷

You won't know booking trends for years either.
I would stay at Riviera again tho so I wouldnt have been super mad 😂 That was another resort where I must say we had a perfect stay with no issues

Oh yes! Not saying it was bad, but would you rather be "stuck" at Riviera or PVB IT if you planned in the 7-11 month window? You seemed to like PVB IT better.

I do think being flexible for one-bedrooms will give you plenty of options to stay at all of these resorts.
