DVC dining restaurant locations increased again

I wonder if they are going to get rid of TIW?
Very much doubt it- it will be a very nice earner for them, and also Florida residents can get it (I think). It is still also worth it to many DVCers and AP holders- it is purely mathematical, if it saves you money, buy it. It is just that when people quote $750 as break even, it is actually likely much more than that nowadays.

So it states discount is for member and up to 3 guests. When you have a party of 7 - how will they determine which 3 people will receive the discount? So if one person in the party orders a $20 salad and a water and another person a filet and soda for over $50 - will they automatically discount the most expensive meals or do we need to specify?

That I have no idea on- I suspect you specify which guests it applies to and they split the check? That is another reason TIW can work.

We have never had a problem with more than 3 guests, but we have 2 members in our party, so we can have 8 total, plus the AP discounts...

My husband and I are both listed on the membership -- so that would mean we could each cover us plus 3 guests?

I want to get the rules straight in case i encounter a CM who might not know.

You could always ask for 2 checks if they give you a hard time.

That is what I would do.

Ask for two checks. I could pay for myself plus 3, as could my husband. We are both members.

Are we talking about the TIW card? I thought that was up to 7 people plus member but no alcohol.

TIW is +9, total of 10 per card. And it includes 20% off adult drinks.

I am wondering if the TIW would be a good idea. We will be a party of 7 -6 Disney adults and one child, none of us really drink alcohol, but i am sure with our 7 table service reservations we will be spending roughly on the cheap $2000 (variety of meals) -- yikes!!

All of the restaurants are listed on the DVC discounts so we would get the 10% off. TiW is 20% so would save us $400 vs $200 DVC, so with buying the Tiw card @ $150 it would save over all $50. Am i looking at this correctly?

We do have a trip in late Nov-Dec (4 nights) for just DH, myself and DD and we will be booking at least 4 TS meals during that trip. So i guess there will be some additional savings there.

Is there any value in me getting it? am i looking at this clearly considering the discount we already receive with either the DVC or AP?

The TIW card is good for 12+ months, looks like you cover the cost on the 1st trip so total 'bonus' for the second trip. Just note there are black out dates for the TIW discount.
