The TIW card is not accepted at all of the restaurants we want to eat at so it's not such a good value for us. It requires extra planning at participating restaurants and then we have to skip some of the others that we'd like to try. So we just do OOP. Consider the planning involved and look at the list of participating restaurants to be sure everything you want is on the list before buying it. We just try to take advantage of any DVC or AP discounts that we can get instead.

Since we have always taken several trips a year, we usually have an AP. That makes it attractive to get the TIW card too. While we almost always eat breakfast in the villa (except one b'fast at Boma!) the TIW card is well worth the $75 given the number of times we go to WDW. Even at 2 TS meals per trip, it pays for itself in a trip or two.

Just wanted to follow up with an update... we ultimately decided to purchase TIW. If we had gone with the DDP it would have cost us $1,287.72 (4 Adults, 7 days). With TIW, we ended up spending about:

$935 on meals
$75 for the TIW Card
$112 on snacks
TOTAL: $1122

Even though the savings came out to be $165, I am happy because we got to order what we wanted. The money allocated to meals included entrees, appetizers, drinks and a few desserts. My DD10 got to eat off the kids menu a few times. Assuming we still have an AP for our next visit, we will definitely do TIW again! :thumbsup2
