DVC DDP Question

I should know this but am drawing a blank....

DH possibly has a conference at WDW in March and we'd be staying at YC at the conference rate. Since we won't be staying on points can we get the DDP while staying there? I'm guessing/thinking that the answer is no but I just want to make sure. TIA

Not as part of DVC- not in points as you said. You can inquire if you can as a paying guest.

Unless the conference is offering something special, most likely not.

On a cash reservation, if you are not an AP holder, you cannot purchase the DDP without having a package booked through Disney Travel (so room + tickets). I'm pretty sure most of the convention and group things don't qualify. But I would call and ask.
