DVC, DDP and YES?

I'm looking into a DVC stay and trying to keep costs low, so I was thinking about buying YES tickets and add the DDP. I just read something about either AP plan or minimum 1 night ticket to be able to add the DDP.

Also, will I be able to make ADRs at 180 days? I read something about that might not be available - what do I need to know about making ADRs using DVC?

My parents would be booking our stay through their timeshare trade - anything I need to know to make it go smoothly for a first time visit?

Thanks!

DVC points stays can buy DDP without buying tickets (much like AP holders can do with cash reservations)
Everything I have read about RCI trades into DVC say the same rule applies, so you can stay DVC and buy DDP and use YES tickets without adding any additional tickets. DDP is now pre-pay so you will have to pay for it when you ad it.
I am unsure about the ADR window for RCI trades. I think anyone can book 180 days out. The "glitch" is DVC points stays cannot use online ADR during the additional 180+10 window. DVC members can still call in and get ADRs for the extended window.

I do know Disney charges a $95 fee for trades in. And RCI does not allow renting trades, but I think there is a way to gift a stay to family.

The YES tickets are such a great deal! I hope your trade works out and you enjoy your visit!

For making ADRs you could try calling 407-WDW-Dine to make them for 180+10. I'm a travel agent and called the earmarked number to make mine with no issue after not being able to do it online.
