For starts, I know this probalby shouldn't be posted here, but couldn't figure out where to post it. Heading to WDW on 2/17 - 2/22, and planning a December trip for at minimum 5 nights, I have 4 days left on my MYWPH tickets. And about 7 plusses on misc tickets. I know with DVC I can get a great deal on AP's, I think it will be like 1400.00 for the 4 of us, 3 adults and 1 child. So if we have a solid 9 park days between the two trips, then the AP's would break down to 38 a day, a pretty good deal, plus days we werent planning on going into the parks, we could without feeling guilty that we wasted a day to go to dinner.

If I purchase my AP's this week, would I get the vouchers in time for our trip, and then the next question, would I get the DDE card in time, that's what I really want, I could see us saving a fortune with that.

Next - I was all set to buy the DVC Golf Membership for my husband, but then started reading , and it says with an AP membership, you get discounted golf, and no limit on the time of day you can tee off, anyone use it and is it better than the golf membership??

Thanks - I know this is alot of questions, but they all came into my head at once!!

more bennie:

The Disney Vacation Club Golf Membership also grants Members other exclusive benefits, such as complimentary golf bag storage, club cleaning and shoe cleaning service, club transfer service, a special tee gift, and transportation to any Walt Disney World golf course from select Walt Disney World Resort hotels. (the transportation is a free cab ride - you get a voucher to give the cabbie) They stored their clubs there Mon to Fri. They were cleaned and ready for them on Friday.

This is true even if you do not have any discount codes. I have many times used the transfer of clubs; always gotten a tee gift; and always gotten the free cab ride - doesn't matter if I booked my tee time via DVC Membership; AP, or nothing special at all. Just wanted to clarify.......These are services available to any guest.

So confused!! I know about the club handling, thats given to anyone, so while the DVC memberhsip says its a benefit, it really isn't.

When we go in December, the DVC memberhsip is a huge savings, but, they can only golf after 10:00. So he wouldn't even use the benefit cause they go out early, so there back for family time and can rest for the evening. Ao looks like the AP discount will be a better deal in the long run.

Thanks for that help

Anyone on the rest of my quesitons???

You could always do a Pick up of your AP. And call DDE the day you get there. My BIL did this last week. They got down there on Thur, bought AP, called DDE and had the letter that day at 5:30 to use (pick up at Epcot guest services). I know you probably would not get your DDE card in time. It took about 4 weeks to get mine. But the letter works just as well.

And for the golf bennies - last week was the first time any of our group ever golfed at WDW, so I didn't know the last set of bennies was for everyone. Just going on what was on the member site. And my guys (DH and DS13) just made a day of it, with the after 10:00 tee off. DS15 and I went and did other stuff. A good bonding time for each parent and child combo.

I purchased an AP online last summer and the voucher arrived in 7 days. DDE delivery times seem to vary depending on their work load. Last time I bought one I was told it would take 2-4 weeks and it actually arrived in 3 weeks and 3 days. People who ordered one a few weeks before I did waited just over 4 weeks to receive it.

So if you ordered an AP today and ordered your DDE card immediately upon receipt of the voucher, it will be very close. Whoever you speak to when you call to order the DDE will ask you your trip dates. With your trip being so close, they will undoubtedly offer to have a temporary card waiting for you at Epcot's main entrance just in case your permanent card does not arrive in time.

Good luck!
