We are staying at OKW for a night then doing the cruise for 7 days then staying at BWV for 7 days. The question is we have a double stroller and wondering if anyone knows or tired to to leave it with bell services while on you are on the cruise. Will they do this? And no bringing it on the crusie is not an option or needed.

I am sure that they will. We did something similar last year and they held our woners locker and one bag that we didn't need (and transported it to the other resort). Just let them know when you head out.

We have left items behind many times when visiting the World...then cruising....then back to the world. We have stayed at the same resort pre and post cruise and both OKW and SSR and accommodated keeping some of our items in their luggage storage while we were on the DCL portion of our trip.

If you stay 2 different DVC resorts in the pre and post stays...not sure, that could be a totally different situation. Perhaps someome else can speak to that point....:cool1:

I'm glad OP asked this, we were wondering the same thing for our cruise next year, since we will be coming back to Disney World post cruise :cool1:

I saw that people had successfully done the luggage transfer on another thread, but since there are a few others doing the Resort-Cruise-Resort pattern that I'm planning on in December, can I ask you guys a question that nobody on the Transportation board wants to answer, even if its slightly off-topic?

How are you getting from DisneyWorld to Port Canaveral and back? How many people do you have? We have 4 cruising, so I'm thinking a one-day one-way rental car picked up at the resort then dropped off at Port Canaveral will be the best option? Then the same in reverse? What companies can one pick up a car in Disney World (I saw National has an office somewhere near BWV, are there any others)?

Also have seen on the cruise board someone talking about car services. How much do those generally run and what companies should one look at?

$35 per person each way for the DCL transfer just seems awfully steep, especially considering they get you to the ship kind of late! I want to get on the AquaDuck as soon as I can!

We planned on taking the ME from MCO to OKW then OKW to the Cruise then Cruise to BLT/BWV (some at each resort in our party).

Any reason not to do it this way?

While the ME from the airport to the resort is free, to take the bus from the resort to the ship will cost $35 each way per person. So the PP is looking for a cheaper solution rather than paying $280 to transport her family of 4 to/from the ship .
We have rented a car from Budget at the airport. Spent the night at WDW and then drove over to the port and dropped the car off at the Budget location there. the cost was $35 each way plus gas. The Budget location at Cocoa Beach has several free shuttle vans to take people to the ships. They also will pick you up when the cruise is over and take you back to the rental office at Cocoa Beach. We love having a car just in case we forgot something we can stop at a store in Cocoa Beach before turning the car in.

Thanks. I'll keep an eye on rates at the airport. We're doing 5 nights on either side of the cruise, so I'm not sure if that will be cost effective for us ... we really won't need a car while we're at the resort (I hope! At least that was why we picked BLT/BWV), but it might be nice to have one if I can find a good rate ...

There is also a Budget rental car location at the Doubletree which is a short walk from DTD. So if you don't need the car the whole time you are at WDW you could return the car to the Doubletree, walk to DTD and take the bus back to your resort.

Thanks so much! That's exactly the sort of thing I wanted to know! :thanks:

Wow didn't realize it was that expensive I assumed free or nominal charge. However, the one way rental seems to be crazy high, which location did you return it? I'm looking at a few places and I will call our corporate travel to see if they have any deals. Thanks!
