I saw them as well. This couple has been renting out their points for years on Ebay. It looks like they were never able or didn't choose to use their points for themselves, or perhaps they purchased them to rent.

The Beach Club contract is a 210 point membership in the Disney Vacation Club. The use year is April. There are 71 points left in the 2005 use year, and another 210 become available in April 2006. Maintenance fees have been paid through 2005. I would not have to pay the seller back. They are asking $17,850.00 for it.




The Boardwalk contract is a 500 point membership in the Disney Vacation Club. The use year is October. There are 500 points left in the 2005 use year, and another 500 become available in October 2006. Half of the maintenance fees have been paid for 2005, but I would have to pay the other half. They are asking $41,000 for it.


Are these good deals? They seem to be. Please let me know. The prices seem lower than what I have been seeing.

Someone suggested that I buy Saratoga, but I really want to be at Boardwalk or Beach Club. I always pick hard to get dates and need and want the 11 month window.

I don't think I would pay maintenance for the second one. By the time you close, it would be November and they would have had to pay 11 months of dues by then. But, that's just me. It is a big contract that can't be split but I would love that many points!

You can make an offer with the terms that you want. The seller can then accept, counteroffer or say "see ya later". Everything is negotiable, imho.

I would not buy a 500-point contract as I think it would be more difficult to sell later, if you need to, than multiple smaller contracts.

DVC contracts on ebay tend to go for more money than they do from the resale brokers, at least that's the way it looks having watched bidding on some of the smaller contracts. But if you really want 500 points, you could make an offer to the seller. That is not going to be an easy contract for them to unload.

These contracts sound like they are a good price to me. The Beach Club seems a lot cheaper than I have been seeing lately.
