While at DTD last night I took my friend over to the DVC both to show him the brochures. The CM was so confrontational and combative! I was really embarassed. My friend asked why I would want to be a part of anything the Cm was involved with. The CM started with a really high pressured sales speech and I politely told him that I was already a member and just wanted to show my friend some of the literature about the rooms in the book. He started to third degree me! He told me I HAD to go do the tour for AK and Saratoga. I told him I just stayed there in March. He tells me that I didn't stay DVC, that there is a difference and just because I stayed at AK doesn't mean I'm a member. What? He told my friend that he lived in a very closed circle type of world and one day would grow up and make adult vacation plans. Are you kidding? I thanked him for his time and cut him off mid rant. Are they maybe under pressure to sell with the prospect of KT coming soon?

 "...NOT a member 'cause I didn't stay at AKV?"
Something tells me that CM won't last long...just blow it off!

No one will know of this CMs sales tactics unless you report it to someone. I would call and let someone know. Did you get his name?

If you have the CM name I would definatly call DVC about his attitude. Maybe the cm can broaden there tight circle in the unemployment line.

I would report this as well.

With this being a DTD location some non-Disney people would be in contact with him as well and this is not what is needed .

Call memberservices or E-mail and give as much details as you can.

I agree. Report this "bad apple". That is the kind of representative that gives all timeshares a bad name. I suspect the person you spoke with was not really a salesperson, but actually one of the contact people who work the kiosks.

The cm's who work at the booths in the parks & resorts are NOT sales people or vacation guides. Only licensed people can fill those jobs. The booth people are low-wage, entry level non-professional workers - but evidently the guy you encountered had some issues and needed to feel bigger than he is. I'd definitely report him, as he's a major turnoff and was saying stuff that was way beyond what he's allowed to say. He's there to set up appointments for people - nothing more. A friend of mine who is a dvc member was interested in that job, but when she learned she could basically say NOTHING about the specifics she didn't want the job. She's capable of far more than brainless appointment setting, which is basically all that's expected/wanted from those jobs.

Please report him. It's people like that him that could give not only DVC but also WDW a bad reputation.
