This is how I always end up going against my better judgment and booking a summer trip! WDW adds so many great things around Memorial Day!

they seem to do that every year... right after Memorial Day they add the rides...

Except it’s not a change for DVC since this is what it has been for as long as I remember.

We're not doing the parks (AKL Kidani before a 4 night Wish cruise then RIV) and will be doing the resorts and DS! But it means I get some park time and I can finally see Story Book Circus and all the new additions since then! It's been a while since I've done WDW!

I'm going to try to remember to post random pics for people to guess the location of while I'm at Disneyland this summer. I know most people here are more familiar with WDW but I'll throw some obvious ones in there too.

My wife and I consider Disneyland our home park. Can’t wait!

Never been to Disney during halloween. Sounds fabolous! I also have a Disney cruise on my bucket list! How and how far in advance did you book it? Did you use a travel agent?

The last few cruises I've booked on opening day, as I'm gold cast away club level I can book a few days before silver and general release.

I have always used Dreams (except the UK 2021 cruise to no where as I had to use DVC points or lose them!) and you get the current price Disney offers as well as on board credit (it's usually enough to cover the tips).
With being a single parent now I found the thought of doing WDW a bit daunting! I did take my son to DL in 2023 but a friend join us (and thank goodness he did!) and that really helped with navigating connections to and from the airport, figuring out the parks (it was my first trip to DL).
This last Feb I took my son to DLRP and it was great! I had a good idea of the app, he's a bit more adventurous foodwise and he's much more amenable to walking lol!

Which room were you in at BRV and what was wrong with it? Our first stay there we were in a studio on the first floor and it had some issues.

We were 3560. Had an incredible view of the service road and laundry pavilion lol. But the room itself wasn't fully cleaned (hair in the corners of the bathroom floor, trash left from previous guests), and the soap dispenser in the shower was falling off the wall, so we had to hold it still every time we needed shampoo/conditioner.

I had Keens for a while, and went back to Tevas; the closed toe in Keens tend to collect water for me, and I don't like squishing around in them.

It’s just too hot in June to not have laundry in my room, plus I’ll probably buy groceries so I can eat ‘not theme park food’.
Too bad the menu at California Grill is pre fixe because we loved eating there when they had the previous menu. Maybe we’ll try the totw lounge.

I wonder if it is possible to still order food a la carte at the bar? I was able to grab a seat at the bar more than once without an ADR, though I was going etiher as a party of one or two.

Aside: The bartenders there are really cool.

We’ll be a party of two this time but I’ve grown impatient with dining reservations at wdw. It’s likely because of the LL and ILL. I can eat out in any place I go on vacation but I can’t ride tron or people mover at night, which is what I really want to do! ETA: also nighttime spectacular and parades!

My most sucessful visits to CA Grill as a bar-stool walk-up have been right near the beginning of service. It leaves plenty of time to duck into the park after sunset, and if they don't have an a la carte menu the bar at The Wave Steakhouse 71 always has room.

My current countdown is 14 days! Heading to BWV for 7 nights and then flying to Vancouver for our first Alaskan cruise. Because who doesn't want some humidity before going to Alaska.....

It’s been 10 plus years since I’ve bought resale so I have a question. My contract passed ROFR yesterday. I havent heard anything from the title company at all yet (https://www.dvcclosings.com/). I know it’s just been a day but I feel like I should’ve gotten an email or something acknowledging they’re working on my contract. Is this normal?

Did you let them know about the issues? That sucks!
