Apoligies if this is posted elsewhere or I've put it in the wrong section. Am a DVC Associate Member and a friend and I are considering a short cruise for next year. Well aware that it's wiser to book using cash than points, but does anyone know if Associate Member can book cash reservations through DVC or does a Member have to make it/be on the reservation? Realize my limitations as an Associate Member, but didn't know if this fell under the "being able to book" vs "not getting discounts".

Thanks for any and all help!

If you are planning on paying all cash, you can't book thru DVC. If you book thru DVC, you must use points for at least one passenger.

I think the only cruise you can book cash through DVC MS is for a member cruise and I don't think an associate would be eligible to book without the member. Otherwise there really isn't any benefits to doing so anyway (no discounts, etc).

We are doing the MC 100% on cash. Also, I believe that associate members can do it (we are owners on one contract, and associate members on another.)
