DVC canvas tote bag

DVC sent my husband a nice postcard today asking if he ewated to add on. It was only addressed to him. Too bad he's the non disney freak of the family. Their about a snowballs chance in a very hot place that he'd agree to an add-on totebag or no totebag.

We got that nice postcard too! Hubby and I looked at each other and said, "Gee sure would be nice to add some more points.... but not at this time."

Guess, I sill stick to my ebay tote!

Disney's Charactor Corner at Orlando Premier Outlet Mall had the DVC tote bags on clearance last week for $14.99. They had quite a few as of Wednesday.

We got one when we added on in person in March '07 and ANOTHER arrived with the finalized copies of our paperwork. So we actually have THREE. Add to that the WDW tote that was a special "add-on" at the gift shops and we're in tote-bag heaven.

I use them for carry-ons but they're no good in the parks. I wish they'd given us something a little more practical.

There are 3 on ebay right now. But they are not as nice as the ones I have. Mine have the DVC logo embroidered on, the ones on ebay are screen printed. Is this the new version DVC is giving away now? Why did they cheapen them?

Oh wait, I just found one of the embroidered ones on ebay. I searched under "disney DVC".

LOL, no, it looks to me that in this case someone actually took the time to make knock-off bags. Hard to believe, but there you go!

The one you seem to think is a knock off is the one that is for sale in the character outlets in Orlando for $14.95. I just pulled mine out of the closet to double check. It is not embroidered and does have the Disney copyriight label inside. Maybe it was for some special event give away or something and then they decided not to use them and sent them to the outlets. It is still a very nice tote. When we purchased in 1997 we were given all our paperwork in a different version of it and as we walked back through the BW lobby got our first "welcome home" from the CM at the kiosk there. It took me a few seconds to realize it was because of the DVC bag I was carrying. That bag still holds all the original info and papers tucked away in a closet somewhere. I use the one they sent out sometime after that that does not have the zipper for my knitting and the blue backpack does go to WDW most vacations. The one I bought at the outlet in March may replace the backpack sometime but for now it is just stored until I make the decision as to its ultimate use.

I have received one from DVC that had the iron on.... Since my original purchase was via resale I did not get the embroidered one
