I remembering reading of a rumor that we'd be able to order DVC merchadise, but I've yet to hear anything offical? Anyone know?

Also, DS thinks they should make a DVC bracelet, you know the ones the kids are all wearing now.

We found a DVC charm at Saratoga Springs this past weekend. I just attached it to my mickey bracelet.

if you are talking about the plastic ones - OKW was selling it last time I was there.

I bought a White Polo shirt with the DVC logo on it last week at SSR, They had other shirts and hats with the logo.

I would love the member website to have a catalog of DVC items offered.

I would love resort specific merchandise. I know they have some run of the mill BW stuff, but very little for BWV. That would be nice.

i wish they had more too. i got dh the BWV baseball cap on our last trip. he loves it :)

We just bought two DVC throws at VWL last week. They look nice.
I bought one, then my wife looked at me kind of sad, so I bought her one too. :drinking:

I purchased on this past trip (Dec 3rd) at the Boardwalk a great navy blue womens shirt (t-shirt) with Boardwalk Villas on the front and Disney Vacation Club Member on the arm and the best part is....It was on sale for $13.99! :)

Maistre Gracey is right the throws are VERY nice...wish I had picked one up :(

We also bought the DVC throw on this last vacation. We then took it to the Xmas store and had it embroidered with our names on it. We like it very much.

I too wish they had more resort specific items and also just more DVC items in general.

BTW, we did purchase 2005's DVC watch. I was going to hold off until 06 but next year it will have a leather strap and the DVC logo in color. Hubby doesn't like the leather straps so I bought him the 05 one for a surprise xmas present. To bad he found it when packing.

What a great idea. I wish I thought of that! :drinking:

I also saw the throw and debated about it all week. I finally decided not to, as I am in the process of buying a new house, and can't afford the extras right now. I thought it would be a good housewarming present for myself, so I hope they still have them when I return in March.
I did , however, get the watch. My father gave me money to spend on my trip, and my watch died just before I left, so I got the DVC watch.

Holy Smokes! I didn't even know about the watches!

I remember a year or two ago we were all buying his & her DVC watches, and comparing our serial numbers.
Are these new watches, or the same? If new, are they limited with serial numbers?

Thanx! :drinking:

Hubby's is still in the box. Even though he found it I am not letting him have it until Xmas so sorry I can't look for serial numbers just yet.

I do know they are Ltd ed for 2005 only and new ones will come out in 06. Just don't know if they are ltd ed with a certain number or ltd ed just to the year. I might be able to tell ya after Christmas.

Mine is from the Skagen company, silver metal strap, if that helps. I don't know if it's limited or not, but it does have a serial # on the back. Not sure if they are new, but I don't remember seeing at the the SSR gift shop when I was there in April.

Hubby's is all silver and has a silver strap. Has the DVC logo on the inside and is kind of in silver. It blends really well. This is the one that is for 2005 only.

Came in a square cube. Next years they told me would come in a Mickey icon shaped box. That way you could put 2005 and 2006 in there. I just want the Mickey icon box. I didn't like the sound of the 06 watch.

I missed out on the limited edition watch in the suitcase but perhaps I'll get one next year. I was unaware they had a DVC throw. I hope they are still available when we go back "home" next year. Does anyone remember the cost?

I also am hopeful DVC will have merchandise available on their website when the new site if revealed. Even if we can't order it on the site, I'd be happy with a printable order form. I believe Disney is missing out on a huge amount of revenue by not doing this.

The throw was $40 and it cost 7.00 (plus tax for both) to have it embroidered with our names on it.

The throw wasn't in the gift shop at the beginning of our stay but it was about 2 days before we left so they had just put them out at the end of November.

If you want to call WDW mail order here is the UPC number and you can have one sent to you.

DVC MBR THROW
725734478719

And if anyone is interested in ordering this years watch here is the UPC for that
DVC MBR WTCH LDS
400169692793

Cost for that is 125 + tax

They are getting a little better about DVC merchandise, but I am still amazed that they don't have TONS more than they do!!!!

I mean, they have thousands of people who would be happy to act as walking advertisements. I think it's a marketing opportunity that they haven't capitalized on, which surprises me because one of the things Disney does best is to capitlaize on marketing opportunities.
