DVC- Aulani in Feb/Mar- 7 Month Window

Looking for feedback on 7 month window of a studio room at Aulani. Mid Feb-Mid March ideally. I am looking for this general time of year and not sure how popular it is or even desirable time for us to do our first visit but we wanted to know how high of a chance we had to get our studio with our BLT points. Looking for at least 5-6 nights I guess and I prefer ocean view. It will be my 10 Year anniv and leaving kids home! Any advice is welcomed, just wanted to avoid wasting points for another room category if I could.

Other advice and tips are welcomed. We are looking at early 2027 but I am a planner and want to know how many points I need save versus our typical WDW trips. Thanks again!

Ocean view should be fine. Hotel rooms and standard views are the first to fill up.

Is it just standard views or should I consider garden view or the alternatives if available. I just want to be able to see water at the very least from the room.

Standard views are the first to sell out. I think you'll have no problems booking ocean view at 7 months.

You might have issues finding availability for President’s Day weekend. That weekend was booked for us when we were looking for 1-bdrm ocean right at 7 months, as it falls in the cheapest travel period for point cost. We did find availability right before then without issues (here now, checking out 14th) but I also wouldn’t recommend this week in particular because of American Idol filming. I don’t think you’ll have issues in March due to point cost but I don’t know how spring break affects Aulani if at all.

We can avoid presidents day weekend. We just want to more so avoid expensive flights, have decent weather, and maybe see some whales.

March was original plan but I thought I have read more complaints about crowds that month and a lot more things to worry about far as days to avoid. Points chart is more but it does not seem like a huge swing in cost compared to some season changes I am use to in WDW. Do you prefer March to Feb? Or is it that I just may not be able to get Feb?

It may be more difficult to book more consecutive days in February, depending on which accommodations you are looking at.

American Idol has a impact on the resort quality? It matters that much?

Whether it will bothers you depends on your tolerance of loud music mostly. It’s strange. We like the sounds of laughter and screaming when people are having fun to the point of leaving our balcony doors open all day, and even the live music from Makahiki is enjoyable, but I found the music from the production area to be intrusive.

I think the one thing that will annoy just about everyone is that they cleared out all of the chairs in front of Ama Ama for a few days.

We booked an island/garden view room for this February for 10 days at the 7 month mark. I think if you book right away you should be ok. We have done it one previous time as well. Good luck!

Interesting. Well we are in our early 30s and night owls when we can so we do not mind noise. I guess I would like quiet when on beach to some extent but in the room we only care if maybe all night sound.

That's what I am looking for. I hunt right at the minute and just wanted to know odds of something. Something studio with the ability to see ocean from balcony. I'm open to any view that includes that.
