DVC at runDisney Expo?

We’re already DVC members and are considering adding on points. We’ve done it once before (on a whim) and got some fast passes (and ice cream) out of it. Are these standard perks, even if you schedule the tour ahead of time?

I posted on the runDisney board and someone suggested signing up for a tour at the expo. Any added benefit to doing this?

The added perk was the gift card for my cousin, who was the one that signed up.

I’m not sure if they do that for current members. It’s just a possibility. That’s why I suggested it.

I will mention that my cousin has had the spiel from them probably three times over the many years her family has been going to Disney, though.


They were a very obvious presence when we were there at Princess this year. Could not have missed them. But I don’t recall seeing them previous years. So it’s no guarantee that 2019 will be the same as 2018.

There doesn't seem to be anything standard for existing members. The ice cream if you go to SSR but often it's nothing at all for existing members unless they are along with a non-owner - ie have brought a potential in for the tour.

For Wine and Dine race weekend this year, DVC had a booth where you could put your information and be entered for a $500 gift card. It was open to new and existing members. That's the only extra thing the booth had, though.
