DVC AP voucher & MagicBand planning?

I am a DVC member with some AP vouchers that I will turn into Guest Relations when I'm on property to get the AP's....however...because of this I see no way to link your tickets to the My Disney Experience App with the possibility of planning out the MagicBand and FastPass+ "stuff" ahead of time

I know it may be a little too soon to know for sure, but does this mean we won't be able to do any of this until the day we arrive?

People have posted that they are able to link their AP vouchers and then reserve the FP+.

And others have had trouble doing that but there have been successes reported so at least it sounds like the intention is to allow that and they just need to work out the bugs.

I was able to link my DVC PAP will call # with my November AKV reservation on MDE. I did it on my PC, not on my Iphone. It didn't work on the phone.
 
We were there Aug 19th -23rd. I linked my AP PAP voucher to MDE ahead of time. Because we got bands for our 1 night stay at Pop Century on the 18th, we were able to plan FP+ ahead of time. It did cause the CM a little trouble when activating the passes. She didn't realize we had the bands with us, and was trying to activate a card. She had 2 other CM's come over. When she realized we had the bands, she just needed to see them to activate the AP on them. Bring your bands to the window with you.

Will they send you the will call # or give it to you over the phone? I don't think I got an email with that number when I ordered.
 
When I ordered over the phone they gave me a will call number which can be used to link to MDE. Mine started with 4 letters followed by 8 numbers.
 
I ordered mine online, so easy to do and you get your Will Call confirmation and no problems linking them to MDE.
 
Got my vouchers linked on MDE too, but we haven't gotten any word that we will be included in Fastpass plus or the magic band trial yet. Our trip isn't until the week before Christmas though, so I'm hoping all resorts are up and running by then.

Not sure if this will help you but here goes....

You can call DVC and they have your will call number for anything you have ordered.

We were able to link a voucher by scanning it in. You will need access to a smartphone to do this. Use the MDE app and the Scan Ticket feature.
 
At the moment you cannot link a will call number to MDE. I have been trying for weeks and it won't let me do it.

I've phoned DVC several times and they keep telling me it is a glitch in the system and to try again in a couple of days but so far I haven't had any success!

Incidentally I was also told that if I do not make FP+ reservations in advance I will have "slim pickings" when I arrive! Not good for those of us who don't like to plan! :mad:
 
We purchased our PAP vouchers at WDW the last day of our Dec. trip last year with the intent to not activate them until our Dec. trip this year. Because it is a voucher that looks like a ticket and has the right number of characters in the ID, we were able to link them to our MDE account. I think it's the green vouchers that can't be linked.

I've done it. I bought our AP's over the phone back in March I think...all I have is one conf # for our 2 tickets...first I linked that number then I re-assigned one of the tickets to DH (who was already in my friends and family).....

I can't remember when I linked it (the conf. #), but it was a few months ago..
 
I found my Will Call number (I had emailed it to myself in a fit of foresight about which I promptly forgot) and successfully linked it to my profile on MDE. I've got a points reservation coming up in December, so I'm not part of any known trial, though it may be live by the time I get there.

If my reservation were in November and part of the test, would I be able to make FP+ reservations right now, or is there another step that would need to be taken or something else received before I could actually make a FP+ ressie? It's hard to follow all the process here. Thanks.

I've yet to receive an invite to FP+ despite:

staying @ participating resort -BWV, linked family members, PAP and completed online checkin but no invite for me nor are any magic bands listed. I wasn't a fan of the concept but sure would like the opportunity to prebook FP with so many others doing so during busy time.:rolleyes1

That's strange, I'm still unable to link mine.
My Will Call number consists of 4 letters followed by 8 numbers. is yours the same format?

Yes and I had no trouble at all.

The first 4 letters are all in CAPS, when you entered yours you did use CAPS?
