Can DVC AP renewals be ordered online anywhere? I don't think the AP website allows me to get the DVC discount.

I read on the DVC website that we must call member services when we want to renew our AP with DVC discount. It didn't look like DVC AP renewals could be done online. Perhaps others will know more.

I was able to order mine online the last time. I think I logged into the AP website and it came up.

I was also able to renew online. It should appear when you log into the AP site. Based on your current pass, they will know you are a DVC member. When you pick it up at Guest Relations, you will be required to show your member ID.

Mine shows up on the AP website. Even tells me it's time to renew. When I click on the renew button, it takes me to the annual pass ticket selection window (i.e. shopping cart). The option to select the DVC Renewal ticket is listed as "This event is sold out" and not an available selection. It doesn't seem to recognize my ticket as a prior DVC pass.

Arrgh...the Disney website for AP has never been very robust technically.

That aside, if I renew (online or by phone) now does my 1 year start from expire date of the old pass, which is Janaury,or from when I first use it which maybe March or May? I presume it would be renewed in the form of a voucher until redemed later at WDW.

Renewals start at the end of your previous dates so there is no lapse in time.

The true ticket experts say if you are not going to use it for 3 or more months after renewal, it is better to not renew and just buy a new one. I've never been in that exact situation myself.

I am going to be in this exact situation come Sept. My annual pass will expire but in won't be going back till December. I'm not sure what I plan to do about it.

Yes, it is a dilemma for me too. The price difference is $45 between the regular DVC AP and a renewal DVC AP ticket. So is it worth $45 for me to renew now. If not, I would essentially change my expiration date to March 2012 instead of January 2012. I don't normally travel in Jan or Feb so I am prone to just get a new one if I go this March - especially since I wouldn't expect any ticket price increase between now and March.

If you renew, the start date depends on the end date of the pass you are renewing. It does not start the day you first use the pass.
