DVC AP question?

I bought 5 Ap's back in December when they were $399. We planned to use them next week for our trip. My kids and I may use them again in June. It looks like DH won't be going with us now (work issues). What happens if we don't activate his AP this year? Will I be able to apply $399 to some other ticket in the future? Surely I won't just lose that money?

Someone posted that they had a similiar situation, called DVC and they refunded the ticket.

Did you purchase an AP Voucher to be exchanged for an actual AP? If so you do not have to do anything as vouchers do not expire until 1 year from activation. Many people purchased multiple AP's for $399 to use over several years as it was a great deal.

That was not the case with this special offer, the exchange certificate must be activated by 12/31/2013.

Now as stated above some have been able to get a refund and there has been an unofficial statement that a CM said he felt like they would give you credit.

I personally would try for the refund.

That was not the case with this special offer, the exchange certificate must be activated by 12/31/2013.

check it - though it could be used for 2014 - might have to start on 2013 - but think it is good until 12/30/2014.

It is good for one year after activation but the special offer PAPs have to be activated by the end of 2013. The previous poster/#3 was saying you could keep the vouchers for years, not with this special offer.
