DVC AP or 10 day hopper/non expiry

You may want to double check this with WDW ticketing... We are not the only family that I know of that has been able to do this... I don't know that you can do this with a 10-day ticket but we have done it with a 5-day and I know of two other families that have done it with a 7-day.

Actually we have a Moderator on staff (Cheshire Figment) who is an expert on ticketing. His sticky post is Here. In it you will find the following statement under the chapter on upgrading MYW to AP's:

"If the MYW ticket has been used, the expiration date of the AP will be set to one year from the date of first use of the ticket being upgraded. If the ticket has not been used, the expiration date will be one year from the date of the upgrade."

Funny because DH and I were just having this conversation yesterday. We found 7-day non-expiring hoppers for the same price as an annual pass would be with our DVC discount. We will probably go to WDW twice a year and likely visit the parks 1-2 times during each stay. We felt that we could stretch the 7-days out over several years for the price, so that is what we decided to go with.

What I stated is Disney ticket policy.

I don't doubt that you and others have experienced otherwise, but you were the fortunate recipient of either a CM who made a mistake or one who decided to bestow some pixie dust.

I just don't want people to assume that your experience will be theirs. It's not the norm.
