DVC AP Discount ?

Can I buy an AP and receive the DVC discount at the theme park ticket window? Or should I order it prior to arriving at WDW?

We just bought 2 AP's last week at the Magic Kingdom ticket window. Just told them I was a DVC member and gave them the card. I didn't even have to do it at the TTC. Did it right at the gate.

You can get the DVC discount on your AP by purchasing it at any Guest Relations window (you can't do it at a regular ticket window). You must have your DVC card with you, since they need your membership number. My favorite place to do this is at the International Gateway - the booth there is a Guest Relations outlet, though they sell regular tickets, too.

Also have your photo ID with you. We were asked for the blue membership card and photo ID we used our DL.

We like to go to the Intl Gateway also. We pre-purchased our DVC AP's online, and still had to show our Member cards as well as ID's when turning in the vouchers. I am glad they do this, one extra step to ensure the passes are in the right hands!

Got mine at the MK and also had to show a blue membership card and my drivers license.

After standing in line for 15 min. at the guest services window at AK to renew mine and buy one for my DD, I realized I didn't have my ID with me. Luckily, I wasn't asked for it ..or my blue card. She just looked at my old ticket and that was enough. But .. I wouldn't chance that.

Can you get the AP at downtown disney or do you have to go to guest relations at one of the parks?

There's a guest relations outlet at Downtown Disney, so you should be able to get it there.
