Hi, I purchased a DVC-AP over the phone for my DH for Christmas,we will be visiting WDW in March. I have put the code given to me by the CM when I purchased the AP into his DME account so it now recognizes he has a valid pass and I can make Fast Pass reservations for him. We will be staying at the BWV and I have already customized our Magic Bands. I have read in a few different threads that an AP CARD is needed for AP discounts. How do I get the AP CARD?? Thanks, Joan

I renewed on phone last year too in May and never got the card. A CM at desk told me to send for AP bands and the card would me with them...When you customized the BWV bands did you see a customize AP underneath. Not sure if that is correct or not since I have not recieved them yet. Funny I can see my husbands AP on MDE but there was no way to order his???? we had awful trouble with the MB last year husbands not working and CM spent and hour+ working on his so maybe he set up a different acct for him and its over there didnt' mention it to him yet since it was such an awful experience last summer with the non working band.
I am really not sure if they have to activated first when you get there before they show up for real on MDE.... oh mine was a renewal too.

We had to activate the AP onsite (even after it was added to MDE). We were given a temporary card at that time and the permanent card came with the AP Magic Band after our trip.

Well when we activated the AP's at DTD(did not want to waste time doing it the next morning with rest of family in tow) and it literally took the CM there over 30 minutes to activate AP working at her computer....yes and next morning at park guess what they did not work for entering.... had to have an over ride by CM at gate and told to go into mail building in MK to get fixed...that is when it took over an hour to get it working NOT the whole trip we had trouble with MB.... so I am guessing that the CM at DTD was the problem so you should be fine but will have to activate the AP with your ID and DVC ID.

I guess I was lucky.

I put my voucher number in MDE account so I could make fastpasses.
Then the day before I wanted to go to a park, I activated it at guest services at DtD (DisneyQuest location). It took maybe 5 minutes. They gave me an AP card, and the voucher number in MDE was automatically updated to the actual ticket. Then I went into DisneyQuest briefly (I have a PAP) just to test it all out using my MagicBand, and it worked perfectly then, and ever since.

Yes this was the location over on the other side by what used to be Team Mickey..she had to have been new or something..and I think she did the card pass part 2 X she did more punching of keys that anyone I had ever seen but the funny thing is when we got them the year before we had trouble too and it took more than 30 minutes but this is when they were just starting with the RFD tickets no MB that trip. I will say by Oct they did work for entering park OK except maybe once. Guess we just have a black cloud. And we have lots of Magic Bands.....they just keep sending them.:confused3
