DVC AP and PhotoPass

I admit I've only done AP renewals for quite a while, but this year I'm buying new because a lapse window in travel was too big to ignore. Anyway, when I've bought Sorcerers in the past, I only had to add PhotoPass to my account and the rest of the family had full access. When I went to look at buying my tickets online just now, it only has the option to add all at $99 each or nothing. I guess is new or is it a malfunction in the online ordering system? Don't get me wrong, we like PP, but $300 more? I think that's over the line for its value to us at this point. Did I miss something?

Unless something has changed and we missed it, PP is an optional add-on per individual ticket. I don't believe you should have to buy it for all or none. I know we have multiple APs and only one with PP, but we renewed in March. You might need to call to verify, but certainly don't pay extra for PP if you don't have to.

My recollection was that it was certainly optional, but that you only had to buy it for one person (primary?) in the family if you did buy it. I'm hoping it's just a quirk in the online system as I'm planning to do it through MS anyway in the next couple of days.

I think you'll be able to do what you want. And buying it once makes it worthwhile - buying it as an add-on for all? Not so much.....

To purchase online, you would have to do it as multiple transactions. One transaction would be for the AP w/Photo Download option and then a separate transaction for APs without the option.

Yep, this is the way. An aggravation, but not as bad as spending $300 extra!

Just did this over the weekend. Buy all the passes without Photo Pass then call and add it to just one of them.

Yep, and when we called they bounced us all over the place to get to the right department, despite the fact that it tells you online specifically to call the annual pass holder phone number.

I don't remember what department was finally able to take care of it.

As others have mentioned , just do it as transactions. It was pretty easy and then didn’t have to call!

You do not need to do it as two separate transactions if you don't want to. Add the APs, to your cart, then go back to the AP page, and add the AP with photopass option. Your cart will look like this:
