DVC Annual Passes

Ok, not sure if this is the right place to post this, so please feel free to move it if neccessary......

Anyway, we travel to Disney each year with our best friends and their kids. As of Last October, they are DVC members. This year they are talking about getting annual passes with the DVC discount. She offered to get us annual passes as well. Is it possible for her to purchase passes for us at the discounted rate? If so, can we just upgrade the 10 day hoppers we have with our free dining package, or not? Don't get me wrong, I don't want to do anything that can be seen as inappropriate. Just wanting to know what our options are and how much extra cash we need to bring with us. Thanks so much!

They would not be able to purchase you discounted annual passes unless you lived with them. All adults must show a photo id with the same address as the member to get discounted annual passes.

Who is eligible to receive the Annual Pass discount?
Disney Vacation Club Members receive a discount on the Pass for themselves and their immediate family residing in the same household only. At the time of purchase or redemption, your Disney Vacation Club Member ID Card must be provided and ALL ADULTS must present a valid driver's license or state identification card showing they reside in the same household.

"Immediate family" is defined by Walt Disney World Resort for discount purposes as noted below: Spouse/Registered Domestic Partner, Parent/Step Parent, Mother-In-Law/Father-In-Law, Child/Step Child, Brother/Stepbrother, Sister/Stepsister, Brother-In-Law/Sister-In-Law, Grandparent, and Grandchild.

Can I use my discount to buy a Pass for someone other than myself or immediate family residing in the same household?
No. This discount is exclusive for Members and may not be transferred. This perk may be revoked in the event of abuse.
